  • this is the second chair of two this is the second chair of two that examines the combination of materials to increase strength and reduce dimension and weight. an internal frame made from four plasma cut profiles of 14 gauge, blued steel create a rigid frame which is sandwiched to reduce shear and provide a sitting surface. inset on the interior and exterior of the frame is painted high density milling board. the seat antd back were both milled on a 3v-axis cnc mill, while the legs and side profiles were custom cut and fit into place.which examines the combination of materials to increase strength and reduce dimension and weight. it features and internal frame made from four plasma cut profiles of 14 gauge, blued steel. the profiles create a rigid frame which is sandwiched to reduce shear and provide a sitting surface. inset on the interior and exterior of the frame is painted high density milling board. the seat and back were both milled on a 3-axis cnc mill, while the legs and side profiles were custom cut and fit into place.
