- A product whose soul purpose is to make the user more sustainable. The initial inspiration for the product came from a single fact, that on average, one third of landfill waste is organic. The product has within it a 20 litre wormery for the decomposition of the households organic waste. This waste is broken down into a nutrient rich fertilizer, which is then used to grow fresh organic produce.
- Vedge provides a constant cycle that encourages both the decomposition of organic waste and self sustainability. The wormery can happily accommodate all of the households’ organic waste, potentially decreasing black bin waste (landfill) by one third. Vedge aims to be the catalyst that provokes sustainable living throughout the users life. Not all vegetables can be grown due to size and light constraints, but the product aims to entice the user to grow beyond the boundaries of the product, and kick start a truly sustainable lifestyle.
