  • 2009 SUNGLASSES AND OPHTHALMIC COLLECTION

    Collaborating with     Marchon eyewear Jil Sander presents the first collection of sunglasses for men and women. This collection was developed under the auspices of Raf Simons, artistic director of the house.

    After a capsule collection developed for the fashion Spring/Summer women's fashion show, the first round sunglasses in thin metal have expanded into a complete collection for men and women.

    The shapes, materials, effects and colors reflect the pure beauty and sophistication of the Jil Sander brand.
  • Jil Sander, the high-end luxury brand, is the epitome of modernity and sophistication. Its unconditional dedication to contemporary design combines elegance and purity with innovative materials and exceptional craftsmanship.



  • The scratched zyl application that can be seen on the outside frame fronts and temples is inspired by African beading and creates a skillful handmade look. Simple but very stylish.
  • A mirrored logo plaque placed at temples reflects the layers that are created when the scratched texture is applied to smooth zyl.
  • Defined angles and subtle faceted design add depth and dimension to temples and frame fronts.
