Description
ITRI, the Industrial Technology Research Institute of Taiwan, came to Pilotfish to find a way to promote one of their coolest technology, the flex-dot-matrix display. Here was one of our visions.

The Smart-Skiing wrist band is more than just a ski pass, it is aslo guiding you around your favorite ski resorts. It updates you on, events, parties, maybe contests... and can localize your friends.
Smart-Skiing is sponsored by an insurance company, so if you have an accident on the slopes, Smart-Skiing will call for assistance and cover the fees.

By placing a clickable switch underneath the 3 areas of the flexible User Interface, we've been creating the first flexible touch display with physical feedback!... of course with limited interactions but just enough for a small interface.
Like e-paper, the FlexDM display doesn't need much energy. It could be powered by a flexible solar cell.
