Whatchawant Children Stool

Project Tools Project Info
Whatchawant Children Stool is a piece of quality furniture that is enduring and encourages active and imaginative play for children. With room for one or two children, depending on circumstances and use. Simply by pulling the rope, different possibilities and functions are enabled.

An imaginitive piece of play furniture, a move away from the ”wear out then throw out” culture. A small bench in plywood, a rope covered in leather with a tail-tip in solid wood. Sustainability has been a core value throughout the entire designprocess, including the product’s life cycle.

Design Charlotte Ryberg/Johanna Strand

Whatchawant was exhibited at ICFF, New York, May 2009.
It has received a lot of press coverage, especially in the blog community, for example at Inhabitat.
