This project was a second year studio project for my industrial design degree. The brief asked to enhance or design for any sport. The idea was to add something onto the market that would stand out and attract consumers who were involved in the specific sport.

Genesis is a type of glider in the form of a backpack to be used by people who love extreme sports such as snowboarding, paragliding and parkour. The main principle behind the design was to extend a leap or jump and enable users to glide slightly through the air to boost a jump or extend a trick. At the same time the user would be able to return normally and continue their sport as the wings retracted back into the compact form of the backpack.  The backpack fastens with two straps and is made out of a light plastic composite.
