Winner of the Grand Prix Award at the International Design-Debute 2008 competition, the Annual Interior Design Event in Russia, designer Jan Schreiner has popped up with a unique furniture design that can be used in different ways, according to the needs and availability of space in the apartment. Claimed ‘Chair STRIPE,’ this functional furniture smartly responds to the ever-changing needs of modern users. Essentially designed as a chair, the modular furniture can also be converted into a tea or side table. Moreover, it allows ample storage space underneath for magazines and newspapers, while in use as a chair. The chair STRIPE is an ideal representation of simplicity and continuance by the German designer. All we can do is watch and appreciate the blend of minimalism and utility that manifests itself in the chair STRIPE.
